Carbpoplatin and cisplatin are platinum based drugs that are the standard drugs used in treating cervical cancer. When the disease becomes metastatic, cisplatin alone was found to be more effective than in combination with platinum. In some other cases paclitaxel with platinum is found to be more efficacious than with platinum alone.
